What are we looking for?

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Deep knowledge of the U.S., Canada and CALA media landscape.
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information, structure documents, and synthesize information.
  • Organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects.
  • Display absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Ability to be accessible during non-traditional hours if needed.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of Communications experience
  • Bilingual/fluent in English and Spanish (business proficiency and writing)
  • Experience collaborating across multiple teams and countries.
  • Experience creating, implementing and measuring communications strategies
  • Experience advising senior executives and overseeing a company response to sensitive topics, including crisis communications and issues management.
  • Travel as needed, up to 30-35% of the time

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree, preferably in communications, public relations or related field
  • Large global organization and/or a top-tier communications agency experience
  • Hospitality industry experience
  • Fluent in Portuguese
