Lead Infrastructure Platform Engineer

- Strong System Administration Skills in both Microsoft and Linux Environments
- Hands-on exposure with Agile processes
- Experience with Automation Frameworks
- Solid grasp of technology design patterns
- Passion and knowledge of building products accessible to everyone, regardless of the platform
- A track record of managing innovation, developing and applying creative solutions to business problems, anticipating situations and needs, and finding flexible answers to new situations
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of collaborating with both engineers and business partners
- Communication skills for motivating, persuading, and challenging business objectives to drive dedicated solutions meeting customer needs
- Must be a strong team leader and have good interpersonal skills that can develop, demonstrate, and promote excellence in a team environment
- Reliable, self-motivated, and passionate about high-quality delivery of work products and willing to accept responsibility and accountability
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Five (5) years of professional experience in technology or a related field
- Four (4) years of experience managing large scalable AWS software environments
- Three (3) years of software/platform design and implementation experience
- Two (2) years of public cloud experience
- Solid experience with Linux/Unix administration
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible
- Business travel of approximately 5%
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
- Seven (7) + years of professional experience in technology or a related field
- Two (2) + years of experience in Hadoop technology
- Experience automating manual processes in a large-scale environment
- Experience across multiple public clouds
- Relation Database experience with on-premise and cloud solutions
