What will I be doing?
• Design, architect, and implement next generation Cloud architecture and automation solutions in public cloud (Aliyun and AWS)
• Daily operation works such as: implement configuration changes on the Hilton hybrid cloud platform.
• Provides cloud infrastructure and application support by monitoring/troubleshooting Incidents/Problems and participates in continuous improvement
efforts.
• Take oncall rotation and be able to solve the incident in a timely manner.
• Create technical documentation.
• Coach and guide junior engineers.

What are we looking for?
Lead Cloud Engineer at Hilton will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing next generation Cloud architecture and automation solutions in public cloud (Aliyun and AWS) and applications hosts on public cloud. This includes building out automation tools to help implement infrastructure configuration changes efferently. Keeping our platforms up, actively monitoring the stacks, ensuring all the production components functioning successfully and working with other teams to provide the best user experience.
This job will require that you work like a swiss-army knife - with multiple skills and jobs at the same time to help build long-term automation solutions, help keep production environments as pristine and up as possible. Jobs involving keeping systems scaling and maintained is a primary focus and you have had some experience with the solutions for public cloud automation and infrastructure as code initiatives.
The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
• Strong hands on and relevant and active engagement with the AliCloud ( Aliyun) or AWS cloud.
• Strong System Administration Skills in Linux Environments
• Experience with Automation Frameworks – Terraform and Ansible
• Strong understanding of technology design patterns and approaches
• A track record of managing innovation, developing and applying creative solutions to business problems, anticipating situations and needs, and
finding flexible answers to new situations.
• Knowledge and exposure of networking – TCP/IP and DNS
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of interfacing with both engineers and business stakeholders
• Reliable, self-motivated, and focused on high quality delivery of work products and willing to accept responsibility and accountability.
• Experience capturing and automating key performance metrics for systems and applications.
• Proficient in a development or scripting language such as Python, Bash
• Experience working with containerized applications and deployment using Kubernetes, Docker
• Have experience driving automation of processes, and maintaining uptime/availability of large deployments.
• Willing to learn new technologies, expand skills and be more innovative.
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
• At least ten (10) years of professional experience in technology or a related field
• At least seven (7) years working with Cloud platforms (Alicloud preferred, AWS and Azure also a plus)
• At least six (6) years working to architect, design, develop automation solutions in IaaS/PaaS
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree plus 6+ years of professional experience in technology related experience
• Eight (8)+ years working as a Cloud developer, Cloud Ops, DevOps or SRE engineer
• Two (2) + years hands on project management experience
