Role Overview

This 12-month fixed-term position plays a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operation, governance, and continuous improvement of centrally controlled corporate engineering agreements across the UK and parts of the EMEA estate.

Working closely with the Director of Engineering, an outsourced Hilton Service Desk (HSD), field engineering teams, and a wide supplier network, the role ensures the effective delivery of world-class engineering support through both planned and reactive maintenance activities.

In addition to the primary focus on Central Engineering Agreements (CEA), the role also underpins the Capital Expenditure (CapEx) review process, supporting data collation, reporting, and system improvements used by field CapEx Managers.

•    Central Engineering Agreements (CEA): 80%
•    CapEx support: 20%
 


What will I be doing?

Key Responsibilities

 

Central Engineering Agreements (Primary Responsibility)

•    Support the management and administration of centrally controlled engineering agreements across the UK and EMEA estate
•    Act as a key liaison between the Director of Engineering, the Hilton Service Desk (HSD), suppliers, and internal stakeholders
•    Monitor, analyse, and trend supplier performance, service delivery, and spend data to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement actions
•    Manage and maintain accurate data within CAFM systems and supplier platforms
•    Actively support and resolve engineering-related queries escalated through the Hilton Service Desk
•    Support supplier governance, including an understanding and application of contractual obligations and service level requirements

 

Tendering, Reporting & Commercial Support

•    Develop, issue, and support engineering tender documentation
•    Analyse and evaluate tender submissions, including cost analysis, compliance review, and value-for-money assessments
•    Produce clear recommendations to support supplier appointment decisions
•    Create, format, and publish professional reports, dashboards, and data summaries for senior stakeholders
•    Use data insights to drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and cost efficiency

 

CapEx Support (Secondary Responsibility)

•    Support the CapEx review process by collating, validating, and publishing data provided by field CapEx Managers
•    Assist in maintaining and enhancing systems used to capture, report, and analyse CapEx-related information
•    Work under the guidance of the Capital Planning Manager to ensure data accuracy, visibility, and consistency

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

•    Proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form, across technical and non-technical audiences
•    Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data and present meaningful, actionable insights
•    Experience in supplier performance management and continuous improvement
•    Understanding of supplier contracts and commercial responsibilities
•    Ability to support the creation and evaluation of tender documentation
•    Strong reporting skills, including the creation and formatting of clear, professional outputs
•    Highly collaborative, organised, and detail-oriented, with the confidence to work across multiple stakeholders
 

Required Qualifications and Experience 

 

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

•    Demonstrable experience working within an engineering function or similar environment
•    Strong working knowledge of Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
•    Experience using Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems
•    Experience supporting engineering tenders and supplier evaluations
•    Ability to perform cost analysis and commercial comparisons
•    Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight stays as required
