Infrastructure Platform Engineer Cloud
What are we looking for?
The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
- Communicate optimally with global teams, vendors, and customers.
- Proven experience with Linux Systems Engineering or administration experience including RHEL 7/8, CentOS 7/8, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux 2 in the cloud
- Experience with Foreman or Satellite life cycle management tool
- Experience in using HashiCorp Terraform and HashiCorp Packer tools
- AWS experience including troubleshooting and configuration such as Load Balancers, Security Groups, Access Control Lists coupled with knowledge of VPC’s, subnets, and routing in a hybrid cloud environment
- Experience using version control systems for environments such as Gitlab / Github / Bitbucket
- Experience configuring CI / CD pipelines using build tools such as Jenkins / Bamboo
- Expertise with cloud monitoring and alerting platforms such as Datadog / Dynatrace to create, adjust, and recommend optimal configurations for sophisticated cloud environments
- Experience in Container technologies such as Docker
- Experienced using ServiceNow, Atlassian tools, and Microsoft O365 suite for all workplace communication, teamwork, and work management
- Industry experience in engineering or administering a large enterprise with high volume systems requiring minimum downtime
To fulfill this role optimally, the candidate should demonstrate following minimum qualifications:
- Five (5) years of professional experience in technology or related field
- Three (3) years of working experience with multiple Linux distributions
- Three (3) years of experience in public cloud operations with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Two (2) years of Shell scripting experience in programming languages such as Bash, Python, HCL, and JSON
- Willingness to travel as the need arises - 10%
It would be useful in this position for the candidate to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
- Three (3) + years of experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible
- One (1) + year of architecting experience in Linux based AWS cloud environment
- Two (2) + years of experience in designing or implementing cloud automation processes using CI/CD tools like Bamboo or similar technologies
- Expertise with security concepts around cloud technologies and network management
- AWS Command Line Experience
- Professional certifications in Linux, AWS cloud, networking, or automation tools
