The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and managing all HR functions at Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur in alignment with Hilton’s People Operations strategy, brand culture, and Malaysian labor regulations. This role partners closely with hotel leadership to attract, develop, engage, and retain talent while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

What will I be doing? 

As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for all hotel positions in line with Hilton hiring standards

  • Partner with department heads to plan manpower requirements and succession planning

  • Ensure onboarding processes deliver a positive and engaging Team Member experience

  • Act as a trusted advisor to management and Team Members on employee relations matters

  • Organize and coordinate team member engagement events/activities

  • Handle disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management fairly and consistently

  • Promote Hilton’s culture, values, and engagement initiatives to enhance Team Member satisfaction

  • Coordinate training programs, including Hilton University, leadership development, and compliance training

  • Support talent development, career progression, and performance appraisal processes

  • Ensure mandatory training and certifications are completed and documented

  • Administer compensation, benefits, and HR policies in line with Hilton standards and local market practices

  • Coordinate with Finance and payroll providers to ensure accurate payroll processing

  • Monitor attendance, leave, and statutory contributions

  • Ensure full compliance with Malaysian labor laws, hotel licensing requirements, and Hilton policies

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation

  • Prepare HR reports, audits, and manpower analytics periodically

  • Support workplace safety, health, and wellbeing initiatives

  • Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned

What are we looking for? 

A Human Resources Manager serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in the hospitality or service industry

  • Prior experience in a managerial or standalone HR role is highly preferred

  • Strong understanding of the Malaysian Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, and local labor practices

  • Proficiency in HR systems and MS Office applications

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism

  • Ability to influence, coach, and partner with hotel leadership

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Hands-on, adaptable, and service-oriented mindset
