The Housekeeping Storeman is responsible for the day to day administrations, cooperating with the Housekeeping team and other departments in terms of guest service. 

 

What will I be doing?

As Housekeeping Store man, you will be responsible for receiving, organizing, storing and issuing housekeeping supplies and equipment. This role ensures that all materials are properly maintained, accurately recorded and readily available to support the daily operations of the Housekeeping department while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain accurate records of housekeeping supplies, chemicals, linens and materials.
  2. Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor when items are running low.
  3. Receive deliveries and verify items against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  4. Ensure all items are stored properly following safety and hygiene standards.
  5. Arrange items systematically to ensure easy access and proper stock rotation
  6. Distribute supplies and materials to housekeeping attendants and authorized staff.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the housekeeping storeroom.
  8. Monitor the availability and condition of housekeeping equipment.
  9. Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
  10. Ensure all housekeeping chemicals, supplies, and equipment are stored and handled according to safety standards.
  11. Follow proper safety procedures and hotel policies when handling chemicals and cleaning materials.
  12. Maintain a safe and hazard-free storeroom environment.
  13. Report any safety concerns or potential hazards immediately.

 

Qualifications

  1. Previous experience in housekeeping, storekeeping or inventory management is an advantage.
  2. Basic knowledge of inventory control and stock management.
  3. Ability to lift and move supplies when necessary.
  4. Basic computer skills are an advantage.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  7. Knowledge of safety and compliance standards when handling housekeeping supplies and chemicals
