Guest Service Agent F&B
To a) be a passionate HGI host and highly collaborative member of the guest service team and b) maximise customer spend whilst delivering exceptional HGI brand unique experiences, mainly in F&B but also in other areas of the hotel.
Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Execute duties as assigned by the F&B leadership team or GM.
- Be a reliable and motivated member of the F&B Service team and a collaborative colleague whose passion for hosting can be observed every day.
- Organise the assigned ‘work area’ to be able to deliver the pre-service and service tasks effectively & efficiently, in line with our quality and service standards.
- Constantly maintain work area cleanliness and tidiness
- Actively ask for guest feedback in every shift and take actions to make it right where we need to make something right!
- Constantly look for areas of improvement when taking orders and delivering food to guests to further improve guest experiences in all our F&B outlets
- Understand the specifications of the dishes we sell, their price, and the processes designed to present them to our customer.
- Actively upsell our products and provide advice to guests on food recommendations and beverage pairing.
- Be aware of planned team meetings and learning sessions and attend as required.
- Participate positively in pre and post service briefs and apply learning the next day.
- Communicate clearly and constructively between F&B service colleagues and the culinary team to help deliver great brighthearted guest experiences in our F&B outlets.
- Provide constructive suggestions to the management team on product, menu or F&B Service processes.
- Be a role model for others concerning passionate, friendly guest service in line with HGI brand values and behaviours.
- After 6 months being in the role, decide whether the scope of your role should be extended to Front Office Guest Service Agent duties & responsibilities. If the decision is pro extending the scope of the role, participate in all respective trainings and complete all assigned e-learning courses within the set deadlines
