This is your chance to be part of a Global Sales Team that ensures Hilton owners and operators receive the combined benefits of scale, access, competence, and experience. As a Group Sales Manager – Specialty Markets, you will support the team responsible for providing a differentiated selling platform for Hilton's diverse portfolio of brands by being relentlessly motivated to grow market share. On the Area Sales Team Mexico team reporting to Director – ASOs Caribbean & Latin America, you will focus on the development of the Group market segment, focusing on specialty markets for the Area Sales Team in Mexico.

For Group Accounts, you will solicit new customer relationships and accounts while maintaining and growing existing relationships with current accounts, and Management of Group Accounts within the Mexican region. You will strive to maximize revenue, through building strong business relationships and using negotiation and sales techniques.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • Generate and convert business leads to all Mexico hotels from specialty vertical market segments.
  • Develop relationships with customers and hotels in all markets of the country.
  • Analyze industry trends and competitor strengths and weaknesses. You will incorporate industry and client analyses into the forecast and future client needs.
  • Responsible for complete qualification of each account to determine at a minimum (number of events, total revenue potential, booking patterns and history, decision-making factors, event, business, and personal needs, resources, and competition).
  • Lead and analyze data to lead group sales activities towards success.
  • Be responsible for overall account planning strategy to facilitate growth.

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Collaborate with Hilton Worldwide Sales Specialists and other valuable partners to provide total client solutions.
  • Represent Area Sales Team Mexico with leadership in FAM trips, travel, and domestic trade fairs and events meaningful to our market.
  • Make introductions to clients during sales calls, tradeshows, conventions, and local events.
  • Assist hotels with conflict resolution, contract negotiation, support of hotels’ business/revenue needs, and closing sales.

What deliverables you will take ownership of:

  • Maintain Sales Force records, including call reports, meeting profiles, history, and traces.
  • Responsible for documentation of sales activity through lead and call reports.
  • Submit monthly reports and as requested reports; complete projects and deliverables.
  • Produce a yearly pre-determined revenue in rooms, meetings, and food & beverage to the corporation.
  • Achieve booked domestic revenue quotas. Set and achieve sales competencies as discussed between you and your manager.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of professional experience
  • Three (3) years of direct sales experience in travel industry
  • Experience with prospecting and account development
  • Spanish and English fluency (oral and written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Web-Ex, MS Teams and Zoom
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills
  • Travel 30% including to the United States as needed

It would be useful if you have:

  • BA/BS bachelor’s degree
  • Three (3) years of direct sales experience for a corporate office representing numerous brands, hotels, and selling groups.
  • Experience working in the following specialty markets: government, education & non-profit
  • Experience in Delphi or similar property sales management system
  • Experience using Salesforce
