HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • Manage relationships with corporate clients and maintain client databases.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients for group events and accommodations.
  • Implement marketing strategies necessary for attracting clients while maintaining a clear understanding of hotel policies and ensure compliance.
  • Carry out research and analysis to identify new markets and business opportunities.
  • Travel across the USA to initiate new sales, solicit leads, hold conferences, and make sales, proposals and presentations.
  • Respond to inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc. 

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Work with the Director of Sales, the Director of Revenue and the General Manager to develop the sales and pricing strategies during the weekly groups pick up calls and revenue calls.
  • Partner with the in-house group managers to facilitate the turn over of the definite groups to property.
  • Collaborate with the HSW team in charge of the intermediary partners and the Aruba Convention Bureau leaders.

What projects you will take ownership of:

  • Creation and execution of sales plans to reach or exceed sales targets to attract group business to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of work experience in Group sales.
  • Experience selling in a resort environment.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time (domestically, internationally and to Aruba quarterly)
  • Experience handling contract negotiations and RFPs with vendors.

It would be useful if you have:

  • Experience with Delphi
  • Meeting Broker experience
  • Experience with Catering and Banquets
