Food and Drink Marketing Manager
What will I be doing?
As a Food&Drink Marketing Manager, specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Business Function
- Plan, execute, and monitor annual F&D marketing and communication plans, incorporating digital media, brand management, and loyalty marketing initiatives.
- Design and launch promotional campaigns for restaurants, bars, room service, and banquet areas to increase guest traffic and revenue.
- Work closely with the kitchen and F&D operational team to create and market seasonal menus, packages, and food festivals based on market trends and guest feedback.
- Manage F&D content across all marketing channels, including the hotel website, social media platforms, and third-party booking sites, ensuring consistency and brand adherence.
- Build strategic local partnerships and collaborations to enhance F&D offerings and attract new clientele.
- Evaluate the competitive environment and adjust strategies to ensure the F&D outlets remain leaders in the local market.
- Lead the creation of high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, menus, newsletters, and press kits, for the F&D department.
- Develop and execute a tailored social media strategy to promote F&D offerings and engage with the target audience effectively.
- Manage public relations activities, including media visits, press releases, and collaborations with influencers, to enhance brand exposure for F&D operations.
- Identify and execute cross-promotional opportunities between the F&D department and other hotel services (e.g., spa, events).
Managing Execution
- Monitor key performance indicators related to marketing campaigns, revenue targets, and guest satisfaction.
- Organize and oversee special events, such as food festivals and theme nights, ensuring they align with the F&D department's brand image and goals.
- Provide regular performance reports to senior management, including insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Act as the primary liaison between the F&D department and regional/corporate marketing teams to ensure alignment with global initiatives.
Developing Talent
- Train and mentor F&D team members on marketing and communication strategies to foster a cohesive and motivated team.
- Create tailored personal development plans for team members, focusing on skill enhancement and career growth.
- Conduct regular feedback and performance reviews to encourage continuous improvement within the team.
Building Relationships
- Establish and maintain strong communication with operational leaders, including the Director of F&D, Executive Chef, and General Manager.
- Build and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, such as media representatives, local businesses, and community organizations, to expand marketing opportunities.
- Represent the F&D department in internal and external meetings, ensuring the promotion of its goals and objectives.
