The Capital Hilton is looking for their next Executive Meeting Manager to join their team.
This hotel, recently renovated in 2023, offers 30,000 sq. ft. of versatile meeting space, including a 14,652 sq. ft. ballroom, making it ideal for conferences and large events. The hotel features 559 guest rooms and is situated in Washington, DC’s cosmopolitan Downtown neighborhood—just two blocks from the grounds of the city’s most iconic address.
Our ideal candidate has a background in hotel sales, catering, or events, with strong knowledge of the sales process, event detailing, and ensuring smooth on-site event execution. They are familiar with key market segments such as Local Catering, Corporate, Union, and Tour & Travel. The ideal person is a strong multi‑tasker, driven to close business, committed to delivering an exceptional client experience, and an effective communicator.
Shift Pattern: This role in office Monday – Friday office hours with the required flexibility to early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays accommodate any client sales engagement events, meetings and site inspections.
Pay Rate Range: $28.84 - $29.96 per hour based on experience. This role qualifies to participate in the Hilton Sales Incentive plan with achieved metrics.

What will I be doing?
As an Executive Meetings Manager, you will be responsible for 30+ guest rooms on peak, selling and servicing multiple markets including the Tour and Travel market. More specifically:
Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc. Utilize discretion and authority to negotiate contracts and commit company with customers and establish agreements with vendors.
Initiates new sales, prospects, and qualifies leads.
Write proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective groups for meeting space, space and rate availability for group accommodations (10-50 guest rooms) for moderately smaller meetings. Develop and quote prices for same.
Attend daily stand-up meeting, monthly sales departmental meeting, and other scheduled meetings to support business operations.
Conduct site inspections and property tours with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space and banquet facilities, as well as other hotel facilities.
Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts.
