Director of Engineering - NoMad Singapore

Exceptional Hospitality Starts With You. This incredible property on Orchard Road needs a Director of Engineering to help it become (and remain) an iconic hotel. The wonders of engineering are invisible to most, but when done well the way a building is managed impacts us all.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with Singapore regulations and NoMad brand standards.

• Oversee energy management programs and preventive maintenance strategies to optimize efficiency and sustainability.

• Manage capital projects from planning through execution, delivering on time and within budget.

• Implement enterprise-level systems to enhance operational performance and reporting.

• Drive vendor management and negotiate contracts to secure best-in-class services and cost efficiencies.

   

Preferred Background

• 8–10 years of engineering leadership experience within high end or full luxury hotels.

• Pre-opening experience and proven ability to set up engineering operations for large-scale properties.

• In-depth knowledge of Singapore building codes, fire safety regulations, and statutory compliance.

Additional Requirements

• Familiarity with the local market and experience managing complex, large-scale facilities.

• Language: Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional Asian language is highly desirable.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities; adept at managing internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build lasting vendor partnerships.
