Director, ESG Compliance Reporting
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of global ESG regulatory reporting requirements and other applicable international standards, including the SEC, CSRD and ISSB reporting frameworks.
- Interpret ESG regulatory compliance and further develop our global ESG reporting strategy to comply with all in-place and forward-looking applicable external regulations.
- Evaluate optional adoption methods across global ESG reporting regulations with an aim to minimize differences between multiple ESG-related standards and align reporting globally with a streamlined process.
- Monitor regulatory developments and summarize key developments to leadership, including interpretation of complex requirements.
- Gain an understanding of existing processes relating to ESG data and lead the design/redesign of processes to ensure consistent reporting.
How you will collaborate with others:
- Collaborate with other departments including ESG, Government Affairs, Human Resources, Hilton Supply Management, Internal Audit, and Legal teams to understand and streamline collective efforts and ensure consistency, particularly with the ESG team’s voluntary reporting function.
- Monitor emerging stakeholder needs related to ESG reporting, including needs of customers and investors, and partner with Hilton’s ESG team and others to develop solutions.
What key deliverables you will take ownership of:
- Lead the preparation of mandatory ESG regulatory compliance reporting deliverables and ensure voluntary ESG disclosures are consistent and accurate.
- Coordinate with external assurance providers in delivery of required independent third-party assurance reports for regulatory compliance reporting.
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of work experience in public accounting, financial reporting or similar roles.
- Experience designing and implementing or auditing internal controls.
- Experience managing others.
It would be useful if you have:
- CPA, CA or equivalent
- MS/MBA Master's Degree
- Experience with ESG reporting and disclosure and familiarity with emerging policy and laws and regulation in the U.S. and internationally.
- Experience with SEC reporting, working with reporting solutions like Workiva (WDesk) and iXBRL.
