As a Complex Credit Manager, you will be responsible for working closely with finance departments of both the Hilton Toronto and Hilton Mississauga Meadowvale. This role will require you to control and monitor prompt billing and collection of all accounts receivable items. This role is an on-site position and requires travel between both hotels. 

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Complex Credit Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of the hotel’s Accounts Receivable, in charge of Credit, Billing and Collection in all activities related to extending credit to customers, billing and collection, maintenance and control of the hotel’s accounts receivables. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Assist Finance Leaders in any other way deemed necessary for the efficient overall operation of the Finance Department.
  • Ensure a smooth operation of granting credit facilities, billing and collection in full compliance with the policy, regulatory and contractual framework. 
  • Business partner with all hotel finance team members and the Hotel Management team, and develops excellent working relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including Commercial and Operations.
  • Holds monthly credit meeting for both properties
  • Resolves credit card chargebacks received from all credit card companies/banks
  • Responsible for ensuring that all departments within the hotel conform to the established guidelines for credit and collection policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain local credit policies and procedures regarding billing, collection, credit cards, inquiries cheque cashing, etc.
  • Investigate fully all requests for billing and function as final authority over credit approval.
  • Review periodically all in-house accounts to ensure adherence to the hotels’ credit policy; assist with the collection efforts of these accounts where necessary.
  • Review all requests for credit and approve as appropriate according to the in-house credit policies. Communicate approval or non-approval to the appropriate managers.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks, and be willing to accept assignments on an as needed basis, in order to promote teamwork.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate billing of current and aged accounts with efficient follow-up procedures. Document all collection efforts in the client file or in the accounts receivable system.
  • Prepare necessary month end accounts receivable reports for corporate office and hotel management.
  • Prepare bad debt documentation as required per the Policy and Procedures for write-offs.
  • Maintain an up-to-date collection activity log for delinquent and uncollectible accounts.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities

  • Proficient Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs including excel

  • Must possess the ability to analyse large amounts of data / information efficiently and accurately

     

     

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

  • Previous experience with Hilton systems.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 CAD
