We are recruiting now for a part-time Commercial Intern based at Hilton London Canary Wharf. 

This role will be 20 hours per week. 

Contracted dates April 2024- January 2025

As a Commercial Intern, you will support the commercial team at the Hilton London Canary Wharf to ensure timely completion of commercial support task and analysis, professional communication to guests and customers, engage in selling with the objective to achieve all revenue targets.

JOB DESCRIPTION:                    

Some more specific areas of focus - understanding the customer journey and how to handle enquiries, updating the system with new bookings, preparing contracts for event and supporting the planning, completion of electronic contracts (RFPs), maintaining accurate record of commercial data, analysing data, supporting the preparation of commercial meetings with data, reporting and narrative.  

 KPI’s and key responsibilities:

·       Catering Revenue performance from the social segment

·       Accurate maintenance of bookings, systems and planning BEOs

·       Accurate completion of contracts

·       Accurate rate checks

·       Data analysis, reporting and insight

·       Leasing with guests and customer responding to queries and questions 

What are we looking for?

As with any job, we do have certain criteria that you will need to meet in order to be considered for this amazing opportunity.

·       You are currently working towards a BA in hospitality management, business management or similar, and require a placement as part of your studies

·       You can commit to the time frame stated in the advert 

·       You have the right to work on the UK 

·       You’ve got strong communication skills

·       You’re passionate about selling and business analysis

·       You’re flexible and have an adaptable working style with an ability to learn quickly

·       You love to use your initiative and consider yourself a self-starter

·       You’re a comfortable user of systems and enjoy details.

·       A have a “can do” attitude

·       It is expected that the placement student will serve every guest in line with hotel brand standards.

·       Comply with all relevant legislation governing hygiene, fire, health & safety at work and adhere to rules, regulations & policies of the hotel

·       Attend work on a 20-hour weekly rota

·       Carry out all duties with a positive, courteous & friendly manner
