Commercial Director, Franchise - Asia Pacific
As Commercial Director, Franchise – Asia Pacific (APAC), you will lead commercial performance efforts across our franchise hotel portfolio, driving market share growth and RevPAR improvement. You’ll partner closely with internal stakeholders and franchise operators to implement Hilton’s commercial strategies, optimize pre-opening support, and ensure long-term success across new and existing properties.
This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and regions.
This position recommends and coordinates commercial strategies for all hotels within their assigned region/portfolio and supplies critical analysis on company-wide decisions affecting pricing, occupancy, revenue goals and brand sales strategies. In accordance with the APAC regions and APAC regional franchise strategic priorities, this role must develop strategies that assist in meeting these commercial goals. This will be further achieved by closely following commercial opportunities available and working across the region with other commercial and in partnership with brands.

Support Commercial Success of New Openings and Conversion Hotels
You will support the commercial success of all franchise new openings, conversions, and management type conversions in conjunction with the Commercial Director, New Openings – APAC.
- Build strong and positive collaborative relationships which allow for persuading and influencing of our franchise partners in alignment with key internal stakeholders such as Brands and Learning & Development.
- Engage frequently with management company representatives to support them to build their own commercial action plans, provide strategic advice and address questions about Hilton's business processes and products, ensuring their teams are making full use of Hilton’s commercial engine.
- Drive and lead ramping up efforts via conducting monthly commercial reviews and working with regional commercial functions to support delivery of actions that will drive premium market share.
- Work with the Openings & Transitions team and Revenue Management Openings Support team to ensure the right processes are built and adhered to ensure smooth hotel transition from pre-opening teams to post-opening support functions. Communication may take the form of webinars, individual remote consultations, e-mail exchanges, and presentations.
- Responsible for tracking assigned openings and ramp up performance to identify opportunity properties and determine appropriate courses of action to achieve improved market share.
- Develop presentations deck and training materials utilized by the larger audience and work collaboratively with Learning & Development, Brand, and Commercial teams for delivery of such content to the end users.
Management Company/Portfolio Support
You will be responsible for an assigned region of hotels.
- Oversee a designated region of hotels, including new openings and conversions during initial ramp-up.
- Implement Hilton’s centralized commercial solutions and tactics across the portfolio.
- Monitor performance and recommend actions to improve market share and commercial outcomes.
Commercial Engine and Brand – Support and Collaboration
Act as a Commercial Enablement department liaison to brand team members. Be the most effective means of partnering with Brand Performance Support, RMCC, Hilton Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Operations to achieve commercial objectives.
- Act as a liaison between Commercial Enablement and Brand teams.
- Support brand education initiatives aligned with APAC commercial goals.
- Facilitate commercial performance discussions and contribute to revenue-generating strategies.
- Participate in brand and commercial team meetings to share insights and updates.
Support of Commercial Objectives and Department Strategic Priorities
They must be guided by both commercial objectives and strategic priorities. Those two, combined with a clear understanding of the Hilton Values, should inform all decisions while providing an overall direction for activities.
- Align activities with Hilton’s commercial objectives and APAC strategic priorities.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Provide performance updates and support issue resolution with leadership teams.
Business Analysis
Think strategically is a core requirement of this position. You must be able to:
- Evaluate portfolio performance across all segments and channels.
- Analyze rate and inventory strategies and recommend improvements.
- Leverage Hilton systems and tools to monitor and optimize selling strategies.

You have these minimum qualifications:
- Previous Director level experience, with proven senior stakeholder management.
- Strong in stakeholder management, leadership, organization, communication, networking, collaboration and solid judgment.
- Significant experience within hotel industry along with a college degree.
- Ability to speak and write English fluently.
- Commercial attitude with experience and functional knowledge of Revenue Management Operations and other commercial functions.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to work effectively under pressure as well as meet given deadlines.
- Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools and job-related information technology.
- Warm personality and high team spirit. Ability to recognize, feel and share the common organizational purpose.
- Adapt to change and innovation.
It would be useful if you have:
- Business level for Chinese language is highly preferred to work with Greater China & Mongolia region (i.e., communicate with stakeholders, develop presentations deck and training materials, etc.).
