As with any job, we do have certain criteria that you will need to meet in order to be considered. These are detailed as follows:
- Tertiary qualifications or a collegiate-level degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage, or a related field.
- Proven management experience in stewarding or BOH operations within a high-volume hotel, resort, or large-scale catering environment.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a large, diverse team of stewards and other staff.
- Strong commercial and business acumen with the ability to analyse P&L statements and manage departmental operational budgets.
- A passion for operational excellence and the vision to build a winning team focused on hygiene and efficiency.
- Extensive knowledge of HACCP, local food safety regulations, and chemical handling protocols.
- Advanced organizational skills to manage complex inventory cycles and event logistics simultaneously.
- Project and time management skills to oversee deep-cleaning schedules and kitchen renovation or maintenance projects.
- Proven problem-solving expertise, particularly in high-pressure environments and during peak occupancy periods.
- Technical proficiency in common office software (MS Apps/Excel/Word) and procurement systems for inventory and budget tracking.
