Associate Global Network Automation Engineer
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Handle the design and architecture of Hilton’s corporate and hotel networks while working with network support vendors and OEMs to execute designs and meet SLAs.
- Continually update technical standards and strategic technical roadmaps for both corporate and hotel Local Area Networks.
- Develop operation metrics for all elements of the corporate environment and actively lead network vendor and OEM performance.
- Act as the backup role working within the LAN/WAN and Security team.
How you will collaborate with others:
- Develop and implement network policies to optimize network performance across corporate and hotel locations.
- Be responsible for network automation and strategic roadmap as directed while working as a member of Hilton’s Global Network team.
- Work closely with other technologies governed by our Global Network Engineering Team which includes VoIP, Video/Telepresence Partnership, LAN/WAN, and security.
What projects you will take ownership of:
- Execute new projects through initiation, architecture, requirements analysis, design, project management, and systems integration phases.
- Be responsible for all aspects of network engineering policies and operations, including network programmability (Python, scripting, and RESTful API) and orchestration.
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Professional work experience in Technology or related field
- Local Area Network support knowledge and hands-on experience with industry standards and best-practice design standards
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Python, or Terraform
- Experience with BGP, OSPF, Ethernet, MPLS, VPN, SNMP, and 802.11x technologies with Enterprise Class routers, switches, and firewalls
- Excellent proficiency in Excel, Word, Visio, Windows, etc.
- Approximate travel of 10 %
It would be useful if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 10+ years of Technology related experience
- Three (3) + years of work experience in Technology or a related field
- Experience communicating and negotiating with all levels of management and external customers
- Licenses or Certificates: CCNA, CMNO
