Area Director of Sales and Marketing - Hilton San Diego Bayfront
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and strategic commercial leader to serve as Area Director of Sales & Marketing overseeing three premier Hilton properties: Hilton San Diego Bayfront, Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, and DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego - Mission Valley.
This leadership role is responsible for driving overall commercial performance across the portfolio through strategic sales leadership, revenue optimization, marketing execution, and talent development. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in full-service hospitality sales, complex group strategy, and multi-property leadership.
What will I be doing?
As Area Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing plans across all three hotels
- Driving group, transient, and catering revenue performance
- Partnering closely with Revenue Management to maximize profitability and market share
- Leading and developing high-performing sales teams
- Building strong relationships with clients, ownership groups, and community partners
- Overseeing forecasting, budgeting, business planning, and market analysis
- Supporting cross-selling and multi-hotel collaboration opportunities within the portfolio
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive hotel sales and marketing leadership experience, preferably in large full-service or complex properties
- Proven success achieving revenue and market share goals
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience leading and developing sales professionals
- Knowledge of hotel sales systems, revenue management, and distribution channels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of hotel sales leadership experience preferred
- Multi-property or complex hotel experience strongly preferred
- College degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Hilton experience a plus

The compensation range for this position is $200-2252K and is based on applicable experience and location.
