Account Director - Travel Management Companies
Position Overview
The Account Director for Travel Management Companies (TMC) will manage and grow Hilton’s relationships with TMCs across national, regional, and global levels. This role is responsible for driving market share, delivering value to clients, and executing account strategies that align with Hilton’s revenue goals.
What will I be doing?
Strategic Planning
- Develop and execute account strategies and plans to achieve long-term goals.
- Identify growth opportunities and prioritize high-potential segments.
- Communicate key messages internally and externally to align stakeholders.
Account Management & Execution
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.
- Implement account plans to maximize penetration and revenue.
- Support the Individual Business Travel (IBT) RFP process and ensure compliance with Hilton procedures.
- Monitor marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
- Represent Hilton at industry events and conferences to strengthen partnerships.
Leadership & Direction
- Provide guidance to support teams and ensure alignment with account objectives.
- Review and update account plans regularly in Salesforce.
- Drive marketing initiatives that support account strategies and increase market share.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure accurate reporting and account data in Salesforce.
- Monitor performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain compliance with Hilton best practices and financial controls.
Supportive Functions
- Collaborate with Global Travel Partners and other teams to ensure effective communication.
- Participate in sales workshops, missions, and familiarization trips.
- Support projects that align with Hilton Worldwide Sales strategies.
What are we looking for?
Required:
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Based around Watford/South East as frequent office presence required
- Significant experience in customer-facing, revenue-generating roles, preferably with TMC experience.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, market segments, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; flexibility to travel.
- Ability to travel UK & I and Europe (20%)
Preferred:
- Hospitality industry experience.
- Knowledge of business travel sector and Salesforce CRM.
- Previous experience working at a TMC or with a TMC.
